What is iSEA ?
The Imaging Southeast Asia (iSEA) Meeting is the premier annual gathering of the Southeast Asian imaging community under the Global BioImaging (GBI) network. Hosted in a different country each year, iSEA brings together researchers, imaging experts, core facility leaders, and industry partners to foster collaboration, share knowledge, and strengthen imaging capacity across the region.
In 2026, Bandung, Indonesia, will proudly host iSEA under the theme “Expanding Imaging Connectivity Across Southeast Asia.” Organized by the Scientific Imaging Center (SIC) at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), the meeting will welcome more than 300 participants for scientific sessions, hands-on workshops, industry exhibitions, networking opportunities, and strategic discussions that help shape the future of imaging in Southeast Asia.
How to Participate ?
- Students (Undergraduate & Postgraduate) → 100,000 IDR (≈ 6 USD)
- Researchers, Academia & Industry → 250,000 IDR (≈ 15 USD)
The 1st iSEA Conference
In 2026, Bandung, Indonesia, will proudly host iSEA under the theme “Expanding Imaging Connectivity Across Southeast Asia.” Organized by the Scientific Imaging Center (SIC) at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), the meeting will welcome more than 300 participants for scientific sessions, hands-on workshops, industry exhibitions, networking opportunities, and strategic discussions that help shape the future of imaging in Southeast Asia. Representing Indonesia, the Scientific Imaging Center (SIC), Institut Teknologi Bandung, participated in the conference poster exhibition, while Dr. Fitria Dwi Ayuningtyas delivered a keynote presentation highlighting SIC’s journey and contributions to imaging research and capacity building in Indonesia. We are proud that Bandung, Indonesia, has been selected as the next host city for iSEA 2026, where SIC and ITB will welcome the regional imaging community under the theme “Expanding Imaging Connectivity Across Southeast Asia.”
