Scientific Imaging Center (SIC) is the development of previous imaging center known as ITB-Olympus Bioimaging Center (IOBC).
SIC is a collaborative core facility between ITB, Evident (Olympus) and its distributor company in Indonesia, PT Wadya Prima Mulia.
Previously, IOBC has been established since 2018 and starting from this year, 2024, IOBC then rebrand into SIC, with remain its mission to support development of advance research and education in Indonesia.

Scientific Imaging Center (SIC), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), officially launched its 2026 workshop series with Seminar & Workshop Series I: Exploring Microstructure and Materials in Dental Research Using Scanning Electron Microscope, held on 6–7 May 2026. Organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Dentistry, UniversitasPadjadjaran (FKG Unpad), the workshop highlighted how advanced imaging technologies are contributing to a deeper understanding of dental tissues, biomaterials, and oral health research.
